VIP®-I

The VIP-I Series of induction power supplies features advanced IGBT power components, husky copper bus bars, precise and responsive digital controls, informative diagnostic functions and can be fully configured with a variety of options.

VIP-I units are available in a wide range of power levels, from 15 kW to 1000 kW, and at frequencies from 60 Hz through 10 kHz to make the VIP-I Series suitable for a wide variety of furnace sizes, alloys and other charge material.

 

All offer furnace isolation systems with the double protectionprovided by both an isolation transformer and a ground leak detector. These systems enhance safety and increase melt rates.

 

In its standard configuration, a VIP-I unit includes an intelligent digital control board with fiber-optic connectors for clear signal processing, a digital display and an integral keypad for control and data entry.

 

For advanced computer control assistance for the operator, VIP-I units are available with built-in new Melt-Manager® Plus™ automation allowing for connection to external customers monitoring or data acquisition systems. VIP-I units equippedwith Melt-Manager Plus controls include a full-color LCD screen with a touch-sensitive control interface powered by Microsoft® Windows XP®.

 

Remote control panels are available for all VIP-I Units.

 

Standard VIP-I units are configured for connection to new or existing external de-ionized (DI) water cooling systems or to available DI water cooling modules that can be attached to the ends of the units.These compact modules are designed for easy access and maintenance.

 

The VIP-I series of induction power units offers metal casters reliability, efficiency and guaranteed melt rates in a compact and versatile package.
