For billets made from Brass, Copper and its alloys, the Banyard range of thyristor controlled induction billet heaters will deliver the rapid billet heating rates needed to reduce the unwanted scale/oxidation normally associated with conventional heating methods.

Rapid induction heating also reduces the burn-out of alloying elements such as Zinc, Cadmium etc. Similarly, it will reduce grain growth and precipitation of Mg2Si in Alumium alloys, thus improving product quality and anodising finish.
