Epaş Tripled Its Power With Inductotherm Turkey!

The 30-ton steel melting furnaces produced by Inductotherm Turkey for Epaş, a product of its efforts for the iron and steel industry, were commissioned. Having completed its trial production, Epaş tripled its annual production to 300 thousand tons thanks to the system produced by Inductotherm.

The 10th largest steel system produced by Inductotherm Turkey was commissioned in Georgia. A. Levend Otsukarcı, General Manager of Inductotherm Group Turkey, stating that the system produced for Epaş, a Georgian-Turkish partnership operating in Poti, has started to work, said, “The installation and commissioning of the 15MW 2 x 30 T furnaces has been completed. At the moment, trial production is about to be completed and mass production is about to begin,” he said.

Also produced for Russia, Iraq and Turkey
Noting that Epaş’s annual capacity has increased to 300 thousand tons with the commissioning of the new system, Otsukarcı said, “The company was using an Indian-made system before. They were melting 25 tons of metal in 3 hours. They have now reached a state where they can melt 30 tons of metal in 1.5 hours. With this investment, Epaş’s annual billet production capacity increased from 100 thousand tons to 300 thousand tons. His strength has doubled,” he said. Pointing out that the manufacturing process of systems of this size takes 6 months, Otsukarcı said that the assembly and commissioning works take 2-3 months. Informing that they are working with Epaş for the first time, Otsukarcı pointed out that they have produced similar systems for the Russian, Iraqi, Algerian and Turkish markets before.
